I want you to take Goku's quote into account here, maybe more than anything. Chapter: 334 (DBZ 140), P1.4 Goku: “Well at any rate, who was it who defeated Freeza? That was an incredible ki. Was it Piccolo? Or Vegeta?” Note: obviously it wasn't either, but it might be notable that Goku at least felt it conceivable that Piccolo did it. Even if you don't believe that it meant anything, please provide your views on this

I don't see a reason to place either of them too far ahead of Namek Goku though.

Posts: 2,079 Group: Member Member #9,363 Joined: April 11, 2013 Gender Not Specified	Piccolo and Vegeta obviously at this point werent comparable to Freeza, but I think Goku assumed that they were the most likely to pull something off against Freeza since they were third and second strongest on Namek respectively, aside from him and Freeza of course. I'd put Piccolo and Vegeta probably ahead of Base Goku against Freeza, how much ahead I don't know exactly

Firefox, Chrome Favourite Manga Dragon Ball, Berserk	A bit a head of Base Goku on Namek, or maybe right around that Goku. Either way, I'd put them close to each other at that point considering their little confrontation. Goku's reasoning for thinking it might've been one of them? They were the strongest in the group a year ago, so Goku would be expecting one of them to complete the job. It's obvious they didn't though, so there is no reason for their ki to be high. Goku didn't even sense them you must keep in mind, the only person he sensed was Trunks.

Maybe he just said that because his Base was IMO close to the both of them.

As much as I like Piccolo, he was at the most 1,5m when he fought Piccolo. I don't think he could've gotten that much stronger in one year without a training partner. He increased a decent amount in six months training by himself during the Saiyan Arc. Considering during that year, he increased somewhere around 7-8x, and since we really can't consider a 4 or 5 year old Gohan much of a challenge when it comes to a training partner, most of his nearly 7-8x increase was probably during that six months prior to him training Gohan. Gohan definitely got more out of the final six months than Piccolo did. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, May 27 2014, 04:42 AM.

Posts: 378 Group: Suspended Member #10,783 Joined: January 26, 2014 Gender Male Favourite Anime Dbz and many other show's What Browser do you use? i commute between many browser's Favourite Manga none	At this point of time Goku doesn't know much about vegeta.But he knows more about piccolo.And he knows of the fact that piccolo always trains like him.So goku assumes piccolo must have trained during that time and must have gotten stronger.He doesn't know much about vegeta so he assumes it must have been piccolo.

I still don't see how you have the Base Saiyans so low for that long, the gains in the Cell arc completely contradict that... since there isn't a magical number on top of the SS Multiplier, it's just x50 and that's it.
